Cooking instructions

Stove top*

  • Combine Ben’s Original™ Long Grain & Wild Rice Fast Cook Recipe, contents of seasoning packet, 1¾ cups water and 1 Tbsp. butter or olive oil (optional) in a medium saucepan. Stir well.
  • Bring contents to a boil, REDUCE HEAT (medium-low to medium) and simmer covered 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and set aside 5 minutes or until water is absorbed.

To Prepare 2 Boxes
Use 2¾ cups water and 2 Tbsp. Butter or olive oil (optional) and follow steps 1 through 3 of the stove top cooking directions.

Alternate cook method

*For best results, use stove top cooking method.

Microwave

  • Combine Ben’s Original™ Long Grain & Wild Rice Fast Cook, contents of seasoning packet, 1¾ cups water and 1 Tbsp. butter or olive oil (optional) in a 2 qt. microwave-safe glass bowl. Stir well.
  • Cover tightly with microwave-safe lid or plastic wrap and microwave on HIGH for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove from microwave. Let stand covered 5 minutes or until water is absorbed.

Microwave ovens vary. Times are approximate. Adjust cooking time as needed.
